BENNING - Lieut Stuart Murray: Youngest son of Mr and Mrs C. C. S. Benning, West Street, Dunstable. 3rd Battalion, East Surrey Regt, died of wounds received on active service, November 15th.
BOLTON - Pte A.: 31 Friday Street, Leighton Buzzard. Worcestershire Regt, died of wounds received while on active service, September 14th.
BUNYAN - Pte George: 159 High Town Road, Luton. Highland Light Infantry, died from wounds received in action during November.
CAIN - Pte Sidney (7393): Aged 29, 54 Duke Street, Luton. 2nd Battalion, Beds Regt, killed in action.
CLARK - Pte Sydney: Youngest son of Mr and Mrs William Clark, of Lilley. 1st Battalion, Beds Regt, died in Leeds Military Hospital, October 25th, from wounds received in France.
CLARKE - James: 5 Tavistock Street, Dunstable. Missing from HMS Hogue, sunk in the North Sea, September 22nd.
DIMMOCK - First Class Petty Officer Charles: Ship's Corporal on HMS Good Hope which went down with all hands after naval engagement in Pacific, November 1st. Old Queen's Square boy.
DOWNES - Lieut Archer Chernocke: Son of the late Lieut-Col C. Villiers Downes and Mrs Downes, Aspley House, Aspley Guise. 1st Battalion, Beds Regt, died on October 18th at No. 1 Clearing Hospital, Saint-Omer, France, from wounds received in action.
DYER - Pte Lewis: Aged 31, 143 Wellington Street, Luton. 1st Battalion, Beds Regt, killed in action in Belgium, October 26th.
FENSOME - Pte H: Lately residing at Maple Road, Luton. 1st Battalion, Beds Regt, killed in action, October 26th.
FREEMAN - Drummer Richard L.: Cambridge Street, Luton. 1st Battalion, Beds Regt, killed in action, October 26th.
HANKIN - Pte Alfred: 64 Ivy Road, Luton. 1st Battalion, Beds Regt, died from wounds in No. 6 Clearing Hospital, Bethune, October 30th.
HARFIELD - Lance-Corporal W.: Hope Villa, Gardenia Avenue, Leagrave. 4th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers, died from wounds received in action at Vailly, France, September 21st.
HOLMES - Pte Albert W.: Aged 19, late of Cranford, Middlesex. Grandson of the late Mr Samuel Brewer, of Toddington, and nephew of Mr and Mrs James Tilcock, also of Toddington. Royal Fusiliers, died of wounds received in action in France, September 23rd.
JONES: John C.: Formerly of Dunstable. Assistant Paymaster, HMS Hawke, sunk by a German submarine in the North Sea, October 15th. Included in the list of missing.
KIMBLE - Colour-Sergeant: Kensworth. 1st Battalion, Beds Regt, killed in France early in October.
MILLER - Edward (RN): Eversholt. Missing from HMS Aboukir, sunk in the North Sea, September 22nd.
PARKER - Seaman Gunner Jack: Aged 22, lost on HMS Good Hope which went down with all hands after naval engagement in Pacific, November 1st.
PINNOCK - Percy James: 29 Boyle Street, Luton. Missing from HMS Amphion, sunk in the North Sea by a German mine, August 6th.
ROBERY - W. (RN): Husband Crawley. Missing from HMS Cressy, sunk in the North Sea, September 22nd.
SEABROOK - Benjamin Headley: 34 West Street, Dunstable. Pte, 5th Battalion, Beds Regt, killed on the railway at Cattawade, Suffolk, while doing sentry duty, August 27th.
SILVESTER - John (AB): 35 St Saviour's Crescent, Luton. Royal Fleet Reserve, missing from HMS Hawke, sunk in the North Sea, October 15th.
