Miss Buckingham of Toddington is listed in the National Roll of the Great War as a Special War Worker at Kent's Munitions Factory, Luton.

This lady was engaged on work of National Importance at Messrs Kent's Factory, Luton, for a period of three and a half years. Her duties, which were in connection with fuse-making were carried out with great efficiency and were much appreciated.
