Miss V Billington of Upper Sundon is listed in the National Roll of the Great War as a Special War Worker at Kent's Munitions Factory, Luton.

For more than three years during the war this lady rendered services of a valuable nature at Messrs Kent's Munitions Works, Luton. Her duties of lacquering fuses were carried out in an efficient manner and she received high commendation for her work.
